Connecting your PlayStation 2 to your computer isn’t hard. It just takes a bit of planning and some careful reading of the instructions on your hardware.
First, you’ll need to find a VGA converter that accepts the input signal from both the PS2 and your laptop. You can buy one of these devices at most retailers online, or you can make your own with a few components.

Video Cables

Controllers
If you’d like to use your PlayStation 2 controllers on your PC, you’ll need a device called a USB joystick adapter. These don’t cost much, and you can find them at most stores for under $10.
Emulators
Using a video game emulator is an excellent way to play PS2 games on your PC. These programs can be very powerful, and allow you to enjoy games with far higher resolutions than your TV screen.
You can even use them to play classic PlayStation games that you’ve never played before. These emulators aren’t perfect, but they’re a good way to give your old gaming experiences new life.
Action Replays
If you’re serious about playing your old PS2 games, you can invest in a device called an “action replay”. It will allow you to download saved games, modify save files and even unlock cheat codes for your favorite games.
Using this device can be expensive, but it’s well worth the investment for those who are really serious about playing their old PS2 games. It’s an excellent way to remember your favorite games and go back to them again and again.
